Sto smadonnando da 2 giorni per far andare sta dannata webcam su ubuntu feisty amd64...
Guardando la pagina del progetto per i driver delle webcam su linux ( http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html ) e dando il comando lsusb ho trovato che la mia webcam in questione (una Logitech sphere mp)
lsusb ----> Bus 003 Device 005: ID 046d:08c2 Logitech, Inc.
Cercandola nella pagina in questione trovo questo:
Logitech QC Orbit/sphere MP
Vendor ID 0x046d
Product ID 0x08c2
bridge spca525a
Driver linux-UVC
Il problema è che andando sulla pagina del progetto linux uvc http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/
e dando, come consigliato in fondo alla pagina, il comando svn checkout svn://svn.berlios.de/linux-uvc/linux-uvc/trunk
mi dice : svn: Non riesco a connettermi all'host 'svn.berlios.de': Connessione rifiutata
Allora ho provato a cercare il repository col source... come dice sempre in fondo alla pagina :

la stampante son riuscito, sto schizzando con sta webcam :|:|
per il resto ora come ora ,tranne pes6 ho tutto come su win :asd:

in questa distro http://www.muriquilinux.com.br/hardwares_homologados/webcam
la dà come supportata.. non sò se può esserti d'aiuto ^^'

allora in pratica ho scaricato i file in una cartella trunk sul desktop...
poi ho seguito la guida

mi dice

allora son riuscito a compilarli seguendo le guide.
se uso l'app consigliata in quella pagina per testarla (luvcview) la web funziona, ma la app fa veramente cagare :asd:
non puoi' ne zoommare nè settare la risoluzione o il face tracking
mercury messenger nn mi trova il device.
camorama dice could not connect to dev/video0
ekiga (che per altro fa cagare) pure nn si connette alla webcam :|

Linux soffre ancora molto con il supporto webcam purtroppo.
Io l'ho acquistata dopo aver cercato on line le liste di compatibilita', e ho scelto in base a quelle.

Il prob è che Amsn fa cacare, ovvero non mi supporta le custom emoticons :|:| per quello che uso mercury...
A sto punto spero si sbrighino a implementare il video su skype:|
